The ºìÌÒÊÓÆµ will meet Friday, April 8, 2022, at Varner Hall, 3835 Holdrege St. in Lincoln. The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. and will also be live-streamed at www.nebraska.edu. The meeting is open to the public.

The meeting will lead off with a presentation from Peggy Abels, director of health sciences at the ºìÌÒÊÓÆµ at Kearney, who will speak about the Kearney Health Opportunities Program. KHOP is a partnership between UNK and the ºìÌÒÊÓÆµ Medical Center designed to grow the state’s rural healthcare workforce.
The outgoing student regents representing the four ºìÌÒÊÓÆµ System campuses will be honored for their service on the Board. NU System President Ted Carter will also provide a university update.
Items for the Board’s consideration include:
- Creation of a master’s program in athletic training in the College of Education and Human Sciences at the ºìÌÒÊÓÆµ-Lincoln. (Addendum XI-A-2)
- Creation of a Nebraska Center for Women’s Health Research in the College of Medicine at UNMC. (Addendum XI-A-6)
- Plans for upgrades to the Architecture Complex at UNL. (Addendum XI-B-3)
